Jonathan Bramson, PhD
Co-founder of Triumvira Immunologics in 2015. By accessing the latest industry technologies, Triumvira is pursuing highly innovative autologous and allogeneic approaches for TAC-based programs. Vice Dean for Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Jonathan holds a Tier I Canada Research Chair in Translational Cancer Immunology.

Sheila Singh, PhD
Established in 2007, The Sheila Singh Lab studies the regulation of brain tumour initiating cells (BTIC) signaling pathways in glioblastoma, brain metastases, childhood medulloblastoma. Sheila holds a Tier 1 Senior Canada Research Chair in Human Brain Cancer Stem Cell Biology, and is Director of McMaster Surgeon Scientist Program.

The ITIF index also shows Canadian provinces overrepresent among North America’s most competitive states in the innovation economy with Ontario (host region for AURP IC2022, Sept. 19-22) ranking third, British Columbia fourth and Quebec ninth. The University of Kentucky - CEDIK and USDA Rural Development last month launched the Rural America Placemaking Toolkit. The new Toolkit is a dynamic, interactive website providing education, resources, activities, and tools on rural placemaking. The Toolkit also links information seekers with technical assistance providers, financial assistance providers and how-to guides on implementing placemaking in local communities. Learn more.

The Canadian Ambassador to the United States, Kirsten Hillman, welcomed attendees at the event. AURP's 2022 International Conference (Global Innovation At Scale: Robust Strategy. Delivering Impact) is September 19-22, in Toronto, Ontario.

The Embry-Riddle Research Park generated $137 million of total economic impact in Florida in 2021 — a 50% increase from 2019. Targeting high-growth sectors, the research park supports more than 700 jobs overall directly and indirectly — up nearly 40% from 2019. The Research Park's cornerstone, the John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex, has directly created more than 120 high-paying jobs with an average salary over $78,000. Read more.
