AURP's Brian Darmody attended the Federal Lab Consortium’s (FLC) National Meeting in Cleveland, bringing together training, education and networking opportunities to facilitate lab-to-market efforts to increase federal tech transfer. Several AURP member federal labs and research parks were present including Sandia National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory, LSU Innovation Park, Georgia Tech, and TEDCO (MD). Moderating "Creating Communities of Innovation From Federal Laboratories", Brian Darmody's panel included presentations by (in photo, l-r) Kirsten Rieth, RTI, Strategy and Innovation; Mikaela McShane, NASA Technology Transfer Expansion; and Rita Doerr, NSA Cybersecurity Collaboration Center.

AURP CEO Vickie Palmer and CSO Brian Darmody attended HBCU Engage | UIDP Spring Conference in Nashville. AURP members and friends, Kevin Byrne, The University Financing Foundation, David Tyndall, Collaborative Real Estate, Kevin Sullivan, Shaw University, Freddie Willis, Jr., Harris-Stowe State University, and Raymond Trapp, Research Triangle Park, addressed the group on new models of university-engagement and place making reshaping university-corporate partnerships in building innovation districts. Attending this UIDP event supported AURP's goal of growing and diversifying our member-partner base and providing opportunities to attend AURP events through the Regional Partnership Development Program.
