The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) ranks in the top 12 in federally funded research activities for five different academic programs, according to the National Science Foundation (NSF). Read more.
The University of Cincinnati is extending its Venture Lab, a pre-accelerator and accelerator program, to students and staff from four nearby colleges: Wright State University, Xavier University, University of Dayton and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Read more.

We are weeks away from Spring Training 2020 where converging with colleagues has never felt so good! Tempe's averages are in the mid-to-high 60's with sunshine sure to be in the forecast. Seats are limited! Will you be there?
As part of our module Driving Connectivity: Experiencing the ASU Innovation Network, our Spring Training group will meet with ASU's executive team to discover the "ASU Ten Year Outlook and Partnerships" before venturing by light rail to the ASU Downtown Campus to tour the Phoenix Biomedical Campus + ASU Downtown Campus Walking Tour. Tuesday evening will conclude with the AURP Board of Directors' Sponsor Appreciation Dinner; this time at The Arrogant Butcher.

You're Invited to Host the Party
In 2021, AURP celebrates its 35th anniversary!

With this special milestone in mind, we're beginning the search for our next great AURP International Conference host.

AURP Member research parks, innovation districts, cities, regions and other anchor institutions are asked to submit their bid to host AURP 2021 International Conference.

Our 2020 conference host is University of Utah Research Park in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 3-6.

As an AURP International Conference host, you'll gain international recognition for your research community and help shape content for the conference.  Learn more about the proposal process here .

With the new decade, AURP is strategizing for the future including a visit to AURP HQ from board members Leah Burton and Scott Levitan. This meeting offered a time of collaboration and appreciation for our Diamond Annual Corporate Sponsor, Tech Parks Arizona.

Our continued thanks goes to Carol Stewart, Ken Marcus and the Tech Parks Arizona team for hosting this visit and operational support of the Association.

The AURP International Conference 2020 (Nov. 3-6) is off to a sensational start with our hosts at the University of Utah Research Park and the Utah tech community. During a recent visit to Salt Lake City, AURP was represented at Silicon Slopes to expose this new market to our AURP community. Keynote highlights: Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg to Rise of the Rest and former AOL CEO, Steve Case.

Through partnership with the University of Maryland Mtech Ventures, AURP has been awarded funding from the SBA Opportunity Zone Accelerator program to help support anchor institutions and entrepreneurs in federal Opportunity Zones (OZs). A workshop is open to AURP members on Feb. 14 at the University of Maryland, College Park. If interested in attending, email [email protected]. Seats are limited. 
AURP BIO Health Caucus | June 7-8

Joel Marcus, executive chairman and founder of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, an urban office REIT that pioneered the life science real estate niche beginning in 1994, will keynote a fireside chat at the BIO Health Caucus meeting on June 7-8, preceding the BIO International Convention in San Diego.

Additional discussion will focus on bio health clusters across the US plus engagement with NIH leaders on the fundamental role of NIH funding in life science discoveries and NIH tech transfer.
