The Colorado State University Research Foundation (CSURF) recently announced Lynn Johnson has joined the CSURF team as Chief Financial Officer, starting May 9. Lynn is a Certified Public Accountant and served as CFO for a non-profit cancer research center in Denver prior to joining Colorado State University (CSU) in 2003. Over her 19-year career at CSU, Lynn served the university as Director of Sponsored Programs, Director of Business and Financial Services, University Controller, and most recently, as Vice President for University Operations and Chief Financial Officer. The Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) held a ribbon cutting ceremony last month to celebrate the opening of the new John A. Gordon Albuquerque (NM) Complex, which resides as part of the Sandia Science & Technology Park. The three-story, 330,000 square foot structure houses nearly 1,200 employees who support NNSA’s national security missions. The building was named in honor of NNSA’s first Administrator, the late Gen. John A. Gordon, for his contributions to the Nuclear Security Enterprise. Read more.

The University of Kentucky's Coldstream Research Campus has been named a Finalist for UEDA's annual Awards of Excellence in its "Place" category. UEDA's Awards of Excellence are given in recognition of outstanding economic development initiatives, research or accomplishments. The finalists, including the Coldstream Research Campus, will present their projects at the UEDA Summit (Oct. 9-12, San Antonio). Over the past 12 years, the Coldstream Research Campus has grown over 500,000 square feet of building space with another 344,000 under development for a total of
