With the White House Office of Science and Tech Policy's (OSTP) new RFI on the future of ISS, AURP's Brian Darmody has submitted a response recommending Congress create a "Manufacturing USA Institute in SPACE (Space Platform Advancing Competitive Engineering)" based on a white paper he published this year with the ITIF.

Brian also proposed that Congress create an ARPA-S (Space) to help develop a "whole of government" approach to taking advantage of opportunities for manufacturing and advanced research in low Earth orbit so that more agencies, along with NASA, are involved in funding space research and partnerships in space.

In addition, Axiom Space, Redwire Space, Nanoracks, Sierra Space and the ISS will discuss opportunities for space research, bio manufacturing and other technologies at the AURP BIO Health Caucus in Boston, June 4-5, 2023. Read more.
