Chance Claxton
Co-CEO Orbis Brakes
Chance brings a demonstrated history with sustainable consumer goods and start up enterprises to her position. She handled international product sourcing and vendor relations for Design Within Reach, served as Co-Founder and President of waste-free food packaging pioneer U-Konserve, and as CEO for environmental health solutions company BiOAID Inc. Orbis Brakes proprietary design utilizes a floating centerless rotor and inside out caliper to reduce the weight of the rotor’s mounting hub, while the wide diameter opening pumps a higher volume of air through the vented chambers, significantly lowering brake temperatures.
The larger format creates more leverage and a more efficient force, allowing Orbis Brakes to use a 50% smaller brake pad to further reduce weight, increase overall efficiency, and lower brake dust emissions.
This revolutionary new dynamic allows Orbis Brakes to operate cooler as they get lighter, and enables OEMs to calibrate these values to the specific needs of each market segment.
