The 'summer that never was' has finally taken leave.
Now we look to cooler days filled with family, fun and fall fashions.

STREET FAIR
The final edition of the 2018 street-fair schedule is set for Sunday, Oct. 7. Wander the village's streets, Main and Broadway, as vendors line the way - and shops, including ours, move things outside for the day. Join the fun from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
SIDEWALK SALE
The first Nyack Autumn Sidewalk Sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, so plan to stop by for a day filled with all kinds of specials. And don't forget, that's also the afternoon when we host a special Jane Cowles Trunk Show. The Nyack-born artist will be showcasing her one-of-a-kind fine jewelry designs from 2 to 4 p.m. - and you won't want to miss it!
ROAD RUN/WALK
Remember how fun the Women's Distance Festival was this summer? Well, ML Faves for Good are taking to the streets Oct. 14 to participate in the Montefiore Nyack Hospital 28th annual Blow Away Breast Cancer 5K Run-Walk.
It will be held through Nyack's streets, a scenic route to be followed from 9 to 11 a.m.
Please consider joining us in the event - and helping us spread the word. Even if you can't take part on that day, we'd be grateful if you consider a donation.
It's going to be a great way to not only support a most important cause - but also give us added incentive to get out and exercise with a great group of people.

HALLOWEEN PARADE
Boo!
We hope you're planning to be in town for one of Nyack's biggest annual events - the Halloween Parade. This year's edition will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 - from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (rain date Oct. 28).
As has become our tradition, we plan to host a HALLOWEEN PARADE DAY DOORBUSTER SALE - which as you know means shop early - and SAVE!!

hat" event we have planned, from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 8.
The evening will serve a few purposes - and
all of them, we think, worth your time.
We'll be spotlighting
MacKenzie83, a brand we have recently begun to carry.
The eco-minded company is based in Brooklyn and creates its fashion accessories by mixing the reduce, reuse, recycle approach with an ideology of raw design - it all adds up to some memorable designs that we'll be featuring.

The event will also serve to raise funds for the Center for Safety and Change, whose work we have long supported - 20% of all product sales will be donated to the Center.

What? You say Earth Day was back in April... yes, it was - but as you know "every day is Earth Day" for us, so we just again offer a gentle reminder to join us in caring for our planet. Be mindful, recycle - and remember to bring your own bags wherever you go.
