A Message From The Principal
Egg-Cellent Adventures in 2nd Grade!

As part of the Core Knowledge curriculum, it has been a tradition for 2nd grade to hatch chicks each spring! This is such an exciting, hands-on experience as students get to see firsthand the chicken development through a series of classroom activities including incubating and candling the eggs. We are proud to announce the hatching of 20 baby chicks!

April is the last month your student can check out a library book. Please make sure your student is prepared to return ALL AVA LIBRARY BOOKS by May 2021.

Spring Fundraiser Information

It's almost time for our Spring Raise Craze fundraiser! This is a unique way for us to raise money for our school while making an impact in our community. During this fundraiser, students ask friends and family for donations via the online Raise Craze platform while paying it forward serving others. What a great way for us to teach our students the importance of kindness and gratitude while raising much needed funds. Students will spend time serving, not selling! For more detailed information about AVA's Spring Fundraiser please click here.

Mask/Face Covering guidance while on AVA property

We are asking parents/guardians to please wear a face covering while on AVA property during arrival and dismissal. There is no requirement to wear a mask or face shield while in your vehicle.

Thank you for your assistance with this as we try to keep AVA open to in-person learning as long as the safety and health data show it is safe to do so.
Middle School News
Salvete parentes! Hello parents!

I'm excited to announce that in Summer 2022, AVA students enrolled in Middle School Latin will have the opportunity to travel and see the sights we've been learning about in class all year. As you may know, travel was planned for this summer, but due to continued COVID travel advisories and restrictions, we are delaying until next summer!

I'd love to share some information with you about what this trip will look like and how your student could benefit from such a unique opportunity. If you're interested, please use the link below to sign up for our virtual meeting, which will be Monday April 19th at 5:30 pm.

Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime, and I look forward to seeing many of you soon!

Middle School Sports
Spring is upon us, and our sports programs are still on "pause." Our school and athletic conferences main concern is keeping our students in school. Because athletics would include the mixing of cohorts, we need to monitor the situation closely. We will continue to track the safety of sports through Colorado and CHSAA, and send out any update accordingly. Thank you for understanding!
