Board Address

My name is Eric Lute and I have served on the Aspen View Academy Board of Directors for 4 years.

AVA is in search of strong, dedicated parents to serve on the school board. Serving on the school board is one of the most important ways we can shape the future of our children and our community. Here’s why it matters so much:

  • Strategic Governance and Accountability: School board members ensure the administration has the support and direction necessary to make critical decisions about curriculum, teacher support, classroom resources, and programs that directly affect every student.

  • Student success and well-being: You help ensure our schools provide a safe, supportive environment where all children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • Responsible use of public funds: Board members review and approve the budget and make sure school funds are spent effectively and transparently.

  • Community voice: The board is the bridge between families, teachers, and administrators. Your voice ensures parent concerns are heard and addressed.

  • Accountability: As previously mentioned, the board provides administration with direction but is also responsible to hold the administration accountable for implementation.

Right now, we need committed individuals who care deeply about our school, students and staff that are willing to invest their time and talents to keep our school the amazing place we all love.

Serving doesn’t require you to be an education expert — it requires common sense, a willingness to listen, and a genuine commitment to doing what’s best for students. Training, support, and experienced board members are available to help you succeed.

If you’ve ever thought, “Someone should do something about this,” this is your opportunity to be that someone.

Would you be open to learning more about what serving on the school board looks like? I’d be happy to meet for coffee, answer your questions, or connect you with current board members who can share their experiences.

Thank you for caring about our school and our children. Your willingness to step up will have a lasting positive impact on AVA for years to come.

Middle School Only News

Click on the flyer above to register for the dance through My School Bucks.

Volunteers are needed, please see the sign up genius link.

We’ve noticed an increase in items being dropped off after the school day has already begun. To minimize disruptions to instructional time, we will no longer be calling into classrooms for these deliveries, as this interrupts learning for all students.

Middle School Instructional Assistants will check the front office for dropped-off items three times per day and will deliver them to students during those scheduled times.

Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a focused learning environment.
