PTO's Middle School Ice Cream Social will now be held on August 12th (during 8th period) so that all middle school students have the opportunity to celebrate the first day of school together!

Official practice will also start on the 19th. Practice will always be 3:45-5:15pm and games will always be A team 4:15pm, B team 5:15pm and C team 6:15pm start times. Volleyball is Monday-Thursday. Games are usually Tuesday and Thursday and practice is Monday and Wednesday.

General Announcements

Used Uniform Sale

Saturday August 10th in the gym from

 Noon to 2pm


Drop off any uniforms you want to be sold, in the school lobby by Aug. 9th before 10am. For information on how to price your items for sale please refer to the information in this sign up genius.

The Wolf Shack will be reopening for in-person shopping on Saturday, August 10th from 12:00 - 2:00pm during the used uniform sale. Online sales will reopen at 2:00pm that same day for delivery to your child’s classroom each Wednesday afternoon beginning on the 14th. Thereafter, we will be open the first Wednesday of each month while school is in session from 3:00-4:00pm for in-person shopping. If purchasing online, please remember to give your child’s name and homeroom teacher so we know where to deliver. If purchasing for multiple kids, please pick one child and their homeroom teacher to deliver all items to. Happy shopping!

Please remember to drop off any prescription and Over the Counter Medications with the signed MD orders this week or during Meet and Greets on August 12th and 13th. The health office will have a table out in the lobby during Meet and Greets. All the medication forms can be found here on our website. We will also have forms if you need new ones for your doctor to fill out. In addition, we will have our immunization list for those who have any questions on immunization requirements. If you have any questions please reach out to our school nurse, Jacenta Wirth or our health room assistant, Mindy Baumann.

Grades PreK-5:



  • ALL PreK-5 students will be in school on Wednesday, August 14th and will follow the published school calendar for the remainder of the school year.
  • Parents are allowed on the First Day Only to walk their student into the building and to their classroom.


Grades 6-8:


  • ALL 6-8 students will start school on Monday, August 12th and will follow the published school calendar for the remainder of the school year.


Elementary and PreK School Hours are 8:15 am-3:30 pm

Middle School Hours are 8:00 am-3:30 pm

Kindergarten BooHoo Yahoo!



PTO is inviting all families of kindergarten students to BooHoo Yahoo on August 14th, right after morning drop off in the cafeteria. Welcome in the new school year with light snacks and coffee. Whether you're shedding tears of joy or a few bittersweet ones, come share the moment with other families and start the year off with a smile. We look forward to seeing you there!

Student Pictures for Yearbook and Student ID are scheduled to be taken during the following schedule: 


August 21st for Grades: PreK and 5th-8th


August 22nd for Grades: K-4th


Please note: all students need to be photographed in their AVA Uniform since this photo will be used for both their Student ID as well as the Yearbook.

LOGGING VOLUNTEER HOURS

There is a computer in the front lobby so you can log hours while you are at the school; you may also log hours at home for any PTO work, at home projects or if you forgot to log your hours while you were at school. All volunteer hours should be logged into HelpCounter within 48 hours.
