A message from the Board

Dear AVA Families,

Your AVA board of directors wishes you the happiest and healthiest start to the new year!  As we enter a new year, we are excited to extend an invitation for you to become more involved in shaping the future of our school community. The Aspen View Academy board is currently seeking dedicated parents to join our board committees and to help guide key decisions that impact our students, staff, and overall educational environment.

If you are looking for a way to engage in our AVA community, we encourage you to reach out to one of the committee members listed below!  By volunteering at AVA, you become an integral part of the educational process, while modeling the importance of community engagement and service for your children!

PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)- The PTO organizes, communicates, and facilitates activities and community events that align with the school’s vision, while helping to achieve AVAs fundraising goals. The PTO also works to foster and promote connection between AVA parents, teachers, staff, administration, and the surrounding community. Contact Erin Lontai: elontai@aspenviewacademy.org or visit our PTO website here

SAC (School Accountability Committee)- The SAC’s purpose is to provide feedback to the board and school leadership on school goals and initiatives. This includes reviewing AVA’s budget priorities, student programs and academic objectives. Contact Eric Lute: elute@aspenviewacademy.org

Finance Committee- The Finance Committee is tasked with assisting the Board of Directors in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities including financial, accounting, and investment practices. Contact Jacob Johnson: jjohnson@aspenviewacademy.org

Safety Committee- This committee meets quarterly to discuss opportunities to further school safety, mental health, and security goals and initiatives. Contact Leanne Weyman: lweyman@aspenviewacademy.org
