A message from the PTO

As the school year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements of our PTO throughout the 2023-2024 school year. Our community's support and dedication have allowed us to make a significant impact on our students, staff, and school environment. Click here to check out our 2023-2024 Year in Review.

We are incredibly proud of these achievements and grateful for the unwavering support from our volunteers, parents, and community partners. Your contributions, whether time, effort, or financial support, have made this year a resounding success. Here's to continuing our mission of enhancing the educational experience for all students and fostering a supportive and vibrant school community.

We hope you can join us on July 9th, 10:00am at Zach Parrish Park for our 2024-2025 kick-off meeting! We will have popsicles for the kids. Please watch our facebook page and the event calendar for meeting updates.

Reminder: Students are not allowed to wear Pajamas

Last Day of School is a half day. All students (PreK-7th grade) are dismissed at 11:30am on Thursday May 23rd. This is a DRESS OF CHOICE DAY.

There will be no lunch served on this day.

8th grade students last day is Wednesday, May 22nd.

AVA Summer Office Hours

May 28th - May 31st the office will be open 9am - 3pm.

We will be closed on May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.

Beginning June 5th - July 31st the office will be open on Wednesdays only 9am - 1pm. (closed July 3rd)

The office reopens on August 5th 9am - 3pm.

Did you order your student's yearbook this year? We have a few yearbooks to sell. They are $40 cash or check made out to AVA. Please bring your payment to the office to purchase a yearbook for your student. Yearbooks will be passed out in your student's homeroom class on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Parent Volunteers Needed!

As the school year is coming to an end, we are excited to celebrate our 8th graders' achievements with a continuation ceremony. Your help is greatly appreciated and will ensure that our 8th graders have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Please click here to volunteer on May 22nd.

AVA Middle School Students are hard at work preparing for their production of The Wizard of Oz in May. Tickets are now on sale. $5 for students and $10 General Admission. We look forward to seeing you at this amazing production!

Looking for ways to help your student continue growing academically over the summer months?

We are offering tutoring at AVA over the summer for your student.

How it works: Parents and teachers schedule tutoring sessions directly with one another by email and parents pay the teacher directly.

Suggested rates are:

$25 per student for 30 minutes
$50 per student for 60 minutes
$25 per student for 60 minutes for groups of 3 or more.

Our fabulous PreK Team is searching for the perfect new member to join our crew. For the school year 2024-25 we are looking to fill our floating Assistant Teacher position to help in all classrooms. This is a fun part time position with hours from approx. 9:30-1:30pm. We are looking for someone who is fun loving and with experience working with young children. A full description of the opening can be found on our website. Please reach out with a resume to dstalker@aspenviewacademy.org if you would like to join the staff of AVA and be part of the amazing PreK team!

Medication Pick up

Please plan to pick up your student’s medication at the end of the day on the last day of school or by May 31st. Any medication left at school after the school year ends will be disposed of per CDPHE Rules and Regulations. If your student will have medication at school next school year, the Student Medication Release Form and Provider Medication Authorization Form can be found on the school's website. Per district policy, all current medication forms expire at the end of each school year.

We will be open for in-person shopping on May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd from 3:00-4:00pm, as well as Saturday, May 18th from 10:00am-12:00pm. Online orders will be delivered to your child's classroom on each of those Wednesdays as well. The last day for online orders is Tuesday, May 21st for delivery on the 22nd. Act fast!
