Who has the best teachers in the Douglas County School District? The answer is easy; Aspen View Academy does. I truly believe that we have a highly dedicated group of teachers that go above and beyond every day to make sure your kids are educated in a safe and caring environment where they feel comfortable and confident to take chances. We have established high expectations for all students and provide all the tools necessary for the students to accomplish these expectations. Of course, our success is not complete without the tremendous efforts of our support personnel, which includes the office staff, custodial staff, lunchroom staff and our PARAs.  I know that the AVA parent community appreciates our teachers and staff and demonstrate that in many ways. There is a formal opportunity to show your appreciation – the DCSD Apple Awards.

The Apple Awards were created in 2006 to provide the opportunity to recognize and celebrate excellent, innovative teachers, administrators, and support staff.  Nominations for the Apple Awards are submitted online by staff, students, parents, and members of the community. You may nominate more than one person. Nominations must be made using the online form, no exceptions. The nomination window is open now through November 13th.

As of today, you will find the 2024 Apple Award Nomination link LIVE on your school's page on the FoundationDCS.org website. The 2024 Apple Award Nomination window is open now through Sunday November 12, 2023. We invite our DCSD students, teachers, staff, and community to join us in nominating their favorite teacher(s), principal, classified employee and department employee. After the Nomination window closes on November 12th, we will return the list of nominees to each school for your own selection of this year's school representatives. Each school may submit one educator and one classified representative to be considered for the 2024 Apple Award!
