Who’s STILL the best?

Have you ever asked, “Who’s the best?” When it comes to school and educating children, we all know that Aspen View Academy is the best. You experience your child’s success every day when they return home from school and share what an amazing day they had. Recently, AVA was recognized by the Colorado Community Media as the BEST SCHOOL IN CASTLE ROCK. This is the second year in the row that we have been honored with that distinction. What a great affirmation and honor for our school. To me, this distinction validates everything we do as a school and everything we do for our students. However, this does not happen by accident.

I am also pleased to announce that Ashley Chambless was recognized as the best teacher in Castle Rock. What a great honor for an amazing teacher. Mrs. Chambless truly goes above and beyond for her students and being recognized as the best teacher in Castle Rock is a very fitting honor.

What makes AVA so special and worthy of such praise? It begins with the incredible students that enter our doors every single day. They come to school motivated and ready to learn. They know they will be greeted as they enter and know they belong. Students at AVA are not only allowed to but are encouraged to take chances. Teachers and Paras work diligently planning meaningful lessons and going the extra mile to make sure that all can succeed. We set high expectations for our students which is so important. More importantly, the staff provides the resources and materials that enable all students to meet and achieve those high expectations. We also have a great support staff who also help make sure AVA is in top shape and ready for students and learning.

There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. It takes a dedicated and amazing staff to grow a student. Each and every person at AVA goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all of our students have a successful educational experience at AVA. We are fortunate to have a governing board made up of dedicated parents who donate their time to ensure the long-term success of our school.

Finally, thank you to our parents who stand behind us and support us. The last two years have been outstanding, and this year will be even better. I am excited to see our students on the first day of school and to interact with all the parents.

Building Guidelines

AVA uses the Raptor System to screen all adults entering the building. The safety of our students is our highest priority, and the Raptor System provides a consistent way to aid in keeping away people who may present a danger to our students. ALL adults entering the building on school days during the hours of 7:30-3:45 must have a driver’s license, state ID, or passport to enter the building. We appreciate you not asking us to make exceptions. Thank you in advance for supporting school safety protocols at AVA.

Kindergarten students and new students may have their parent walk them to class on the first day of school only (parent must check in the front office with their ID). After that, you may find it helpful to drop your little ones off at the middle doors. There will be paraprofessionals at the door to help your student get to class if needed.
At AVA we use the Raptor System to check in volunteers and track hours. Every adult will need to complete the volunteer registration online through the Raptor System. The registration will only need to be completed one time, but your ID is still required to enter the building. Click here for the link to pre-register.
