2018: A Year of Growth for the Future
We begin a new year by expressing our sincere appreciation to all our wonderful pet parents, family, friends, and staff. Altadena Valley would not have had the success and growth we experienced last year without you.
New Faces
In 2018 we were excited to welcome Dr. Melissa Joseph Miller to our full-time veterinarian staff and Dr. Sarah Foster in a part-time position. These two have provided expertise in dermatology, ultrasound, ophthalmology, canine rehabilitation and internal medicine. Aside from their extensive experience, these ladies bring a genuine love and passion for the pet families we serve.
In addition to our new doctors, Hunter, Katie, and Caroline began pursuing their LVT (licensed veterinary technician) degrees and expect to graduate later this year. Our grooming, kennel, and office staff also grew to better serve you. We hope you have an opportunity to meet these new members of the AVAC family.
The excitement of new additions continued in November with the arrival of Dr. Miller’s baby girl, Scarlett Grace, and Hunter Parsons’s baby, Avery Brooke. They are all happy, healthy, and doing well.
New Spaces
To handle our growth in 2018 and
beyond, we modernized and renovated many of the interior spaces in the clinic. This included the new exam room and surgery suite. We added new ultrasound diagnostic equipment and modernized the lab. Our new pawprint sign welcomes the wonderful pet families we care for and love. These improvements continue our commitment of providing the best care and service available.
New Training
Last year
Love Them Train Them
, our pet training provider, added many new classes and seminars to help pets and parents build a special bond and relationship with their best furry friends. We are excited about the positive feedback these classes have received and look forward to new training opportunities in 2019. Check out the list of new classes in this newsletter.
Passion For Pets
Our passion for pets never changes. We always love seeing and caring for your pets. Their health and happiness are our first priority. This passion drives our practice to be the best we can be in all areas.
We appreciate your confidence and trust in us this past year, and we look forward to serving you in 2019.
Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Julie Grimes, DVM
