ANNOUNCEMENTS
YOUTH MISSION TRIP
Please be praying for our youth and the adults traveling with them, who are serving this week with Sacred Road Ministries, working among the Yakama people in Washington state.
LOST AND FOUND
The church lost and found is overflowing with unclaimed items. If you’ve been missing anything, check the lost and found shelf, located in the church office next to the Parlor door. Any items unclaimed by July 31 will be donated to charity.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
As we await the soon-approaching start date of our new facilities director, we are in need of some help with maintenance around the church. This Saturday, July 16, AVPC is asking for help with a few projects. Most of these projects can be done by someone with little to no technical skills. If you’re able to help, you can sign up for one of these projects with THIS LINK through CCB. If you have any questions you can also contact Blake Harris at blake@avpc.org.
BABY SHOWER
The women of Altadena will be hosting a baby shower July 18, at 7:00 PM, at the home of Lynn Bratton. This shower will be honoring Heather Prettyman and Abi Bostrom.
You can contribute online through CCB, by using THIS LINK, or in the collection envelope in your Sunday school class. Please designate ‘baby shower’ in the memo line of your check.
PICNIC IN THE PARK
Saturday, July 23, we have another Picnic in the Park Outreach event. Held across the street in Altadena Park, these events are designed to engage our neighbors in fun, inviting, activities that encourage unity, connection, and friendship. See you at 6:30 PM on Saturday
WOMEN'S SUMMER SMALL GROUP LUNCHEON
Next Sunday, July 24, you can join a small group of ladies for lunch. Get to know each other, make a new friend and enjoy rich fellowship. Locations vary. Let Heather know this Sunday if you would like to participate
SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP BRUNCH
Come hungry and join us July 31, during the Sunday School hour for another fun-filled fellowship brunch. Everyone is welcome to attend – even if you do not attend regularly. Good food and fun activities are planned again, so you don’t want to miss this. July 31, 9:45 AM.
CRATES FOR UKRAINE
We are collecting basic wound care supplies to be flown into Krakow, Poland and then transported by Ukrainian Christians into Lviv and other parts of Ukraine. One of our supported missionaries, Bradley Cordell, is planning to travel there on August 3. For more details and the list of items, click HERE. Your donations need to be brought to the church parlor by July 31.  For those interested, there is also opportunity for personal travel and serving as a courier for more crates to Krakow. See www.cratesforukraine.com
GRACE HOUSE SCHOOL SUPPLIES
One of our supported missions, Grace House, in Fairfield, needs help to gather school supplies for the coming year. You can help gather supplies for the 40 girls who call Grace House home by shopping from their Amazon Wishlist (ships straight to their office) by clicking HERE.
WORSHIP CENTER TEACHERS/HELPERS NEEDED

MEN'S COFFEE
Geared towards men of any age, this group meets every Thursday at 9 AM in the Conference Room for coffee, a sweet treat, and conversations about life. All are welcome - drop by anytime.
LADIES BIBLE STUDIES
Ladies of Altadena come join your sisters this summer as we study the Word together. This summer we will have an 8 session study spanning June and July, with a week off for VBS. Our study, “Anxiety: Finding Comfort and Reassurance from God” addresses a real felt need for most of us these days! We will focus on scripture each week as we press in to God, seeking His answers to our need. Please join us. Each lesson stands alone, so we encourage you to come as your summer schedule allows. This is a great time to join if you haven’t been before, or rejoin if you’ve been away for a bit! You'll find women who will warmly welcome you, and will honestly share the struggles and joys of their walk with God. Childcare for all ages is provided at the Wednesday AM study. Study guides will be available for purchase in the Church Parlor in May.

Monday afternoons: 3-4:30 at the home of Wendy Allison (4612 S. Lakeridge Dr. 35244) and via ZOOM (contact Wendy to be added to zoom list). No babysitting provided. Beginning May 30-July 25th. There is, however, no meeting on on June 20, and 27 and on July 4.

Wednesday mornings: 9-11 meeting in the church parlor. We begin June 1-July 27 There is childcare for all ages. There is no meeting on the Fourth of July.

Fridays 1:00. Contact Martha Darden for information 205-527-8933
