SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP BRUNCH
Come hungry and join us this Sunday, during the 9:45 AM Sunday School hour for another fun-filled fellowship brunch. Everyone is welcome to attend – even if you do not attend regularly. Good food and fun activities are planned again, so you don’t want to miss this. This Sunday, 9:45 AM.
COME SING WITH THE AVPC 15-MINUTE CHOIR (AUGUST 7)
Come rehearse a classic hymn anthem (“Wonderful Grace of Jesus”) in the choir room from 10:40 – 10:55 AM on Sunday, August 7, then sing that anthem with the choir in the LATE SERVICE. (Note: the choir will exit the choir loft before the sermon so that singers can sit with the congregation for the sermon. Or people attending the early service can stick around to sing the late service anthem, then go home after the choir sings.) You don’t have to sign up. JUST SHOW UP THAT MORNING! Music links are provided on the church website (www.avpc.org) if you want to learn your music in advance on your own.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY
As requested by so many of you, we are working on an updated pictorial church directory. During the fellowship brunch this Sunday, you will have another chance to get your picture taken for the directory, so smile and take advantage of this opportunity…it’s painless and will be over before you know it. See you at the brunch.
OFFICER NOMINATIONS
AVPC members may submit names of men they believe meet the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 for the offices of Elder and Deacon. Guidelines and nomination forms can be found in the Parlor and Welcome Center, or on the church website, CLICK HERE. You can electronically nominate someone via this same link. You can drop your printed nomination form in the offering plate or turn it in to the church office. Call the church office if you have any questions. Deadline for submissions is August 7, 2022.
PRAYER MINISTRY TEAM
The Prayer Ministry Team would like to encourage you in your prayer life, both personally and corporately, and are inviting you to join others who gather during both morning worship services, to pray for the service as it is being held. You can choose which service you would like to pray for, and how often. This is a great chance to be involved in the life of our church, in a very non-threatening, welcoming environment. Whether you are praying silently or aloud is not important – the desire is to move us towards having a culture of prayer at AVPC. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Steve Barley at steven.barley28@gmail.com, or call the church offices.
LOST AND FOUND
The church lost and found is overflowing with unclaimed items. If you’ve been missing anything, check the lost and found shelf, located in the church office next to the Parlor door. Any items unclaimed by this Sunday will be donated to charity.
CRATES FOR UKRAINE
We are collecting basic wound care supplies to be flown into Krakow, Poland and then transported by Ukrainian Christians into Lviv and other parts of Ukraine. One of our supported missionaries, Bradley Cordell, is planning to travel there on August 3. For more details and the list of items, click HERE. Your donations need to be brought to the church parlor by this Sunday.  For those interested, there is also opportunity for personal travel and serving as a courier for more crates to Krakow. See www.cratesforukraine.com
FINAL MEN'S BREAKFAST OF THE SUMMER
This Monday, August 1, join us from 6:30-7:30am in the Fellowship Hall for a hearty breakfast and a heartier testimony from Mark Howard.
WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY
Please consider joining your sisters in Bible Study this fall. We offer two study times. We meet on Monday afternoons at the home of Wendy Allison from 3-4:30 and on Wednesday mornings in the church parlor from 9-11 AM. There is childcare for all ages offered Wednesday mornings, including supervision for homeschool work. This study time is an opportunity to get to know God better through His word and, get to know women who are a part of the body! We will be studying the book of Ecclesiastes, considering what brings meaning to our lives, a pertinent topic in this ever changing world. Study guides will be available for purchase for $9.00 in the church parlor in August.
MEN'S COFFEE
Geared towards men of any age, this group meets every Thursday at 9 AM in the Conference Room for coffee, a sweet treat, and conversations about life. All are welcome - drop by anytime.
COVID PROTOCOL
Both early and late services are mask-optional in the Sanctuary; seating in the Parlor is social distanced and mask-required for the early service.
