In response to the immediate needs of community communicators, we have restocked our inventory and we are doing our best to offer the top-notch products and service.
To make sure that you keep up with your daily work and services running, here are some tips for when you use AViPAS cameras.
5x/ 10x/ 12x/ 20x optical zoom, the distance matters

  • If you are using the camera in a studio for live production, 5x is probably your most cost efficient choice;

  • If you are working at a place no larger then 80ft (Line-of-sight), 10x or 12x could give you a beautiful half-portrait closeup;

  • If your camera is going to be more than 80ft away from the stage, you may need to go up to 20x.
Connecting the camera to a computer via Cat5/6

When connected to a computer (either a PC or a MAC) using an Ethernet cable, the camera is working as an IP source . In order for the two devices to talk to each other, you'll need to make sure they're in the same IP section: keep the first 3 sections in IP addresses same.

First thing is to change the IP settings on your computer : go to Network and Sharing Center -> Ethernet -> TCP/IPv4 Properties . Set the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway according to your camera. Click here for detailed instructions.
Hassle - free way of live streaming

If you are new to the IP camera world, an easier way to broadcast your live is to use a streaming software . Change the IP settings on your computer first, then open the software, create a new media/stream source and use rtsp line for input.

  • AV-1560/1360/ AV-1070 Series: rtsp://192.168.100.88/1
  • AV-1080/1280/1250 Series: rtsp://192.168.5.163/live/av0
  • AV-1161 Box Camera: rtsp://192.168.5.163:5000/mian.h264

After your camera is added to the software, you may follow the software settings for different live platforms.

If IP configuration feels just too complicated, AViPAS USB cameras ( AV-1082 / AV-1362 ) can save you the trouble. Connecting via a USB cable, and your computer will see it as a webcam (video capture source)- but with much better image quality!
