Public Meeting Law Training
Clatsop Community College is hosting an in-person training session on Oregon Public Meeting Law to fulfill the new state requirements. We are opening this training to our area leadership as well. This training, conducted by the Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC), is essential for individuals who participate in public meetings, including members of governmental bodies, school boards, county and city councils, and budget committees and fulfills recent requirements adopted by the Oregon Legislature in 2023. The 2025 Clatsop County Job & Career Fair will be held Tuesday March 11th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
held at Clatsop Community College’s Patriot Hall. This event is designed to connect local employers with high school students and public job seekers in our community.

Work Begins at East Mooring Basin
Bergerson Construction has officially begun work on the removal of the East Mooring Basin causeway, a structure that has been closed since 2018 due to safety concerns. The boat ramp will experience temporary closures until February 28th to allow for equipment access. Learn more here.

The Astoria Sunday Market is a grower/producer/maker market located in downtown Astoria. The Astoria Sunday Market opens Sunday, May 11 (Mother’s Day) and operates every Sunday through October 12.
