Scam Alert: Pacific Power Imposter
The chamber has heard from many local businesses who have received this fraudulent call. Pacific Power reports that their customers are reporting automated and live calls that claim to be from Pacific Power. The scammers threaten to shut off power unless you pay immediately. Another tactic used suggests an error in the payment system. Don’t pay – note the callback number, hang up and call Pacific Power at 1-888-221-7070 to verify.
