The Educational Theatre Association's National Conference is held each year to provide educators with a wide range of professional development including workshops, intensives, and learn and create labs.
In 2019, the Educational Theatre Association is marking the 90th anniversary of its student organization, the International Thespian Society. This year’s conference will hold workshops, networking sessions, and keynote presentations that will reflect on the organization’s history, share the knowledge and skills being taught to students today, and imagine where to go in the 21st century landscape of theatre artistry and education.
AATE – Youth Voices: Activism Through Theatre
American Alliance for Theatre and Education

This year’s symposium will highlight programs with youth at the core, whether it’s in programs who demand space for youth voice, performance, leadership positions, and those that move towards activism. Attendees will learn practices that can be applied to their own communities, that operate for, by and with the youth their education programs serve.
2019 ASN Annual Conference
Arts Schools Network
October 22-25, 2019
During the 2019 ASN Annual Conference, attendees will engage in impactful, topic-specific sessions, workshops, master classes, and arts forums with arts experts, researchers, artists, and national arts leaders in the field of the arts schools network.
2019 NDEO Conference – The Creative Process: Choreography, Choice-Making and Communication

Held annually in the fall, NDEO National Conferences include three full days of over 250 workshops, master classes, panel and paper presentations, social events and performances. A full day of pre-conference intensives precedes the official start of conference. The full conference schedule is generally released online over the summer before that year's conference.
National VSA Intersections: Arts and Special Education Conference
October 25-28, 2019
The 2019 National Conference, hosted in partnership with the Orange County Department of Education, will take place in Irvine, CA, and is the first VSA Intersections conference to take place at its new time of year. The Kennedy Center will host a smaller regional conference March 2019 in New Orleans, LA. This smaller version of the national conference will offer practitioners more opportunity to engage with arts and special education content.
Annual National Guild for Community Arts Education Conference
October 30-November 2, 2019
The 2019 Conference for Community Arts Education will explore topics related to the arts in education across disciplines, grade levels, and student populations, among other focus areas. Attendees have the opportunity to participate in a range of programming activities, including plenary and breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking workshops.
2019 NAfME National Conference: Amplify the Future of Music: Opening Doors for All Students

November 6-10, 2019
Attendees will join their fellow music educators in Orlando and come together to lead their profession’s direction, engage with each other as colleagues, and inspire one another to guide music students to excellence. NAfME will also bring the All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) back to the National Conference and other special guests.
