Abortions Stopped in Ohio Today
Ohio Attorney General prohibits abortion procedures

(Cincinnati, OH) - On Friday, March 20, 2018, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost issued cease and desist letters to all Ohio abortion facilities. He stated in his letter to Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio , that, "On behalf of the Department, you and your facility are ordered to immediately stop performing non-essential and elective surgical abortions."

This news came only hours after Cincinnati Right to Life and other statewide pro-life groups shared evidence that abortion facilities were still in operation and called upon the grassroots community to contact Governor DeWine and Health Director Amy Acton.

"We are grateful to Governor DeWine and Attorney General Yost for their justice in carrying out statewide mandates to protect all our citizens," said Meg Wittman, Executive Director of Cincinnati Right to Life. "Today lives have potentially been saved from COVID-19, but they have surely been saved from abortion."

Since they are all so busy during this time, please say a prayer for or give a shout out on social media to Attorney General Yost and Governor DeWine to thank them for saving lives today.

While it appeared that Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio was not seeing clients today, we believe they are still accepting patients for abortion appointments. It will be the job of local law enforcement to ensure their compliance. This is a developing story, so please stay tuned.
