Absorb Support for Cadets with Out-of-Order Aerospace

If you are receiving this email then you have been identified as a cadet that has completed their Aerospace Dimensions Modules/Tests or Journey of Flight Tests out of sequential order for your CAP promotions.

Overview

Our new Learning Management System, Absorb, will replace AXIS this afternoon. With the launch of Absorb, Aerospace Education modules and tests will now be offered in numerical order. This ensures clarity and consistency for cadets, establishing a shared foundation in basic aerospace principles. For most cadets, this means one less decision to worry about when pursuing Achievements. But if you've completed some modules and tests out of order, here’s what you will need to do.

Every Achievement that requires an aerospace module or test, requires one that has not previously been completed. Your Achievement in Absorb might prompt you to complete Aerospace Module 02, for example. However, if you've already finished Aerospace Dimensions Module 02 for an earlier achievement, you will see it listed here as “completed.” You may still need to complete a new-to-you aerospace for your promotion requirement even though Absorb says you are complete.

How to check your promotion requirements

Cadets can check their Cadet Promotions Track Report in eServices > Cadet Programs to see

which aerospace modules they have already completed for each Achievement and if they

need credit for their current Achievement.

How to find a new-to-you aerospace module

You’ll just need to head to the Optional Honor Credit section of the Achievement in Absorb and choose one of the available modules there. The system will show 0 of these courses are required, but because your modules are out of order, you do need to complete one of the module(s) listed on this screen to get back on track.

How to get started in Absorb

There are several links for Absorb access, however the most direct for cadets is now titled “Online Learning and Tests” and can found at eServices > Menu > Cadet Programs > Online Learning and Tests
