From the Pastor's Desk
Dear church,
As Epiphany reminded us that God’s light carries us through, Lent reminds us that God’s grace meets us in the shadows and dark moments of our lives. This Lenten season, which begins with Ash Wednesday on February 18, reaches beyond what is familiar. This season draws in not only followers but question‑askers, doubters, and all who carry quiet hurts: those grieving loss, those exhausted by caregiving, those weighed down by anxiety, those feeling unheard, those longing for hope.
This Lent, we will have Taizé evening prayer services on Wednesdays. Taizé is a reflective, candlelight prayer service with simple songs and moments of silence. It invites people from all faith traditions — anyone seeking spiritual grounding with God — to a space of healing. Following each prayer service will be a casual fellowship opportunity with bites and beverages. This prayer service is a great opportunity to invite someone for human connection and care, so please reach out to a friend or neighbor and bring them with you.
Yours faithfully In Christ,
Pastor Tom
