From the Pastor's Desk . . .
Friends in Christ,

We are a month into phasing back into worship happening in the sanctuary. We now have bulletins! (Thank you James!) Worship is beginning to feel as normal as we can have it during this time. I want to share details of how we are doing worship so you can make the decision on what form of worship you would like to attend. Right now we have 3 different options.

Option 1 - Mailed Worship:
There is a list of folk who are having worship services mailed to them. It is a print out of the Sunday worship service with a reflection printed. The previous Sunday worship service is mailed out on Wednesday and should be to your home by Friday. Please call the office if you would like to be added to the mailing list

Option 2 - Facebook Live Stream:
On Sunday morning we are recording the worship service and the video is streamed on Facebook through Acacia Park Lutheran’s Facebook Page.
This is the link to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Acaciaparkchurch
Here is the streamed video from April 25th: https://www.facebook.com/562904140413437/videos/213631653488443
You DO NOT need a Facebook account to video the Acacia Park video on Facebook. Use the link above to get to our Facebook page. The stream is public, which means anyone can view it and you can see it on Facebook even if you don’t have a Facebook profile. The live stream starts about 9:20 on Sunday.
If you would like to watch the video with others and not on your own, at 9:30am on Sunday’s Patti hosts a Zoom watching of the Facebook stream. You can link directly on the Zoom link for Sunday worship and watch the Facebook live stream together.
James will email a link to the Facebook page, a link to a zoom room, and a PDF of the worship bulletin on Sunday morning. This way you can experience worship either at your own time during the day or join others from the comfort of your own home at 9:30 through a Zoom worship link.

Option 3 - In Person Worship:
The worship service is as much as a normal worship service as we can make it at this time. We are doing readings, singing hymns, sharing the peace (with peace signs and not hugs), and we are taking communion, and we have bulletins. The adaptations include communion being given with a “to go” cup instead of a wafer you dunk into the chalice. And, the only other adaptation is that the offering plate is not passed down the aisle, instead it sits in the back of the church for you to place your envelope in before or after worship.
Nearly all of us are fully vaccinated and I will say, I feel very comfortable at worship yet I also know that each person has their own comfort levels.

Please use this guide to make your decision on how you would like to continue worship as we are living into the phase of the pandemic where we are phasing back in and people are getting vaccinated.
In Christ,
Pastor Meagan
