Dear AL Community,
As we approach the final week of the 2023 $10,000 Cash Raffle, we are looking back on the remarkable success of this year's event with immense gratitude for our community and supporters. In recent weeks, we received numerous inquiries seeking further details about the Annual Fund.
Why contribute? The Annual Fund is an indispensable element of daily life at Académie Lafayette. Unlike traditional school districts, the expenses associated with running our high-quality immersion and international baccalaureate programs are significantly higher. Each teacher's visa costs $3,000, and a $2,000 relocation stipend per teacher is essential to ensure a smooth transition. Furthermore, we employ an additional English teacher for every grade level, invest in subsidized foreign trips, and provide bilingual instructional resources. These factors combine to make the operation of AL more costly, highlighting the importance of contributions to bridge the financial gap and continue offering an exceptional education to our students. Your tax-deductible support directly impacts the quality and breadth of education we can provide.
Here is how you can make a meaningful impact:
-
Regular giving: consistent, even small, donations make a significant difference.
-
Matching gifts: many employers offer matching gift programs, effectively doubling the impact of your contribution.
-
Participate in events: volunteer at AL fundraising events such as Generations Day or Evening in Paris by emailing Director of Development Alyson Stewart, astewart@academielafayette.org.
-
Spread the word: advocate for the Annual Fund, emphasizing its importance in supporting our school's mission.
Funding the Annual Fund is an investment in Académie Lafayette's future. Through collective efforts, we drive progress, leaving a legacy for generations to come. We thank you for your ongoing support.
Have a great weekend.

Important Armour Reminders |
Parents, please be reminded of the following Armour protocols pertaining to car line arrival and dismissal. Kindly share this information with the person dropping off or picking up your students.
-
Do not turn right on Warwick, make a left instead, as traffic can back up at the light and block our buses.
- Pull up all the way to the top of the hill before the metal gate prior to stopping.
- Have your student ready to exit the vehicle when you enter the parking lot. If you need more time, please arrive on Warwick and use the field parking lot.
- Please be respectful of neighbors, street signs, as well as our staff directing traffic.
-
Pay attention to your surroundings and the car line while in the parking lot.
- Do not drop off students or park in the bus loading/unloading area on Warwick. Parents doing so may get ticketed and/or towed.
- Do not stop in the middle of the road to drop off your student(s). Please park in an authorized parking spot and walk or use our car line.
Safety is our first priority. Thank you for your prompt attention and cooperation.
