Great Ending to the Cross Country Season!

Dear AL community,

Please join me in congratulating both the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams for winning the Championships! It was a fantastic race. Our runners were phenomenal and we all should be really proud of their efforts despite the freezing weather.

Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!

At clinics, we will warm up together, practice basic technique down the room, and then you will learn two combinations that you will later perform for tryouts. It is required that you come to at least two after school clinics to tryout on Friday.

You do not need to have any previous dance experience to audition, so please come and bring your friends! Just make sure to have comfortable clothes to wear, either tennis shoes or dance shoes, and a positive attitude.

Dance practice will be held on Tuesdays after school at Armour.

Boo Ba(Thank)YouBOO

The PTO wants to send a BIG thank you to the many volunteers who made this year's Boo Bayou festivities a smashing success! We hope everyone enjoyed this fantastic day of fun for our entire student body.

A special thanks goes out to Beth Harlow, her husband Joel Lucas and their two daughters for taking the lead on the K-5th Carnival. The event wouldn't have happened without them!

And another special thanks to Diane Rizzo for leading the Haunted Hallway and the Middle School Dance! The 6th grade-sponsored Haunted Hallway was a great success thanks to the student's clever costumes, ideas and commitment!  These hard-working kids raised $265 for their France Trip Fund! And thank you to all our chaperones at the Middle School Dance. Our kids had a great time dancing and singing along to a DJ. Many of our kids were in costume and standouts won gift cards to Mother Earth Coffee. And a plus, we didn't run out of snacks or drinks!

Once again, THANK YOU to the 6th graders who worked so hard, Mme. Paula Hayden for judging the costume contest, Caroline Knecht for doing the communications, the chaperones, clean up crew and all PTO members who stepped up to make Boo Bayou 2019 such a success!
