Another Successful Sports Season to Celebrate
|
Dear AL Community,
What a joy it is to be able to offer our students after-school activities where they can excel! With the closure of the winter sports season, we are celebrating all of our talented athletes and coaches this week. Their dedication led us to have a great fall and winter season and we are proud of what they have achieved. Watching them in action was a lot of fun, and Académie Lafayette took home eight trophies!
Here is a list of their accomplishments:
- Both Boys’ and Girls’ Cross-Country teams won the KC Metro Conference trophy.
- The Girls’ Volleyball team won the Gold Division champions trophy as well as the KC Metro Conference trophy.
- The Boys’ Soccer team got the second-place trophy of the KC Metro Conference.
- The Girls' Basketball team won the Gold Division champions trophy and the second place KC Metro Conference trophy.
- The Cheer team won the second-place trophy of the KC Metro Conference.
Congratulations to our athletes and a big thank you to the coaches, teachers, and administrators without whom these activities would not be possible!
Have a great weekend,
Elimane Mbengue
