from the Head of School
Dear AL Community,
We will be moving to Phase III of our reopening plan on Thursday, April 15th. We are glad that our teachers and staff took the first Covid-19 vaccine last Monday and that the second dose is scheduled for Monday April 12th. Please read the following information carefully so you are aware of the multiple changes coming up. -
Monday, April 12th and Tuesday April 13th: online, pre-recorded days for all students.
-
Wednesday, April 13th: regular schedule, virtual classes for all students.
-
On Thursday, April 15th, and Friday, April 16th, all students that chose in-person instruction will report to the buildings. Students that chose the online option will remain online.
-
Starting the following week (Monday, April 19th), all in-person students will start coming to school 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). All students will remain online on Wednesdays until further notice.
-
The Spring NWEA test will start on Monday April 05th and the state MAP test on Monday, April 26th.
As more students will be in our buildings soon, we encourage every parent to respect the safety protocols in place as well as the traffic and pick-up/drop-off rules around each campus.
Have a great weekend!

FROM OAK
In order to keep everyone safe, and to ensure a smooth and efficient process:
- Please follow this traffic flow map for dropping off your child in the morning and picking up your child in the car pickup line.
- Please do not come out of your car to help your child, we have staff members that are there to assist your child in and out of the car.
- If you drive your child to school, do not let them out anywhere except at the main entrance after entering the traffic circle.
- If you choose to walk your child to school, please first park in a safe and legal area and use the crosswalks
- Do not block traffic anywhere along the pick-up/drop-off route ( Oak street, 69th Terrace, 69 Street, Cherry)
Thank you for your help keeping everyone safe!

INFO SHARING
ALIHS Community Families,
I am excited to finally share this survey with you. We have been waiting anxiously for the opportunity to start planning for organized sports, and it appears the Covid-19 pandemic conditions are finally improving enough to move forward. This survey is being sent to all current 9th grade families, as well as those who will be joining the high school in the 2021-2022 school year. It is a survey and is no way a commitment to join a team. Please complete this survey as soon as possible so that we can start our planning process. Even if your child does not plan on participating in any organized sports program, we would appreciate it if you would complete the survey so that we have a record of all students' interest levels as we plan. That being said, if your family does not intend to attend our high school in the 2021-2022 school year, we would appreciate it if you opt out of the survey for most accurate data. Thank you so much for your continued support of our school as we grow. We are very excited about this new part of our planning process!
