| Musketeer March 2026 Updates | |
Dear AL Community,
Can you believe it? We are already halfway through our Musketeer March fundraiser, and event days are right around the corner:
- Armour 3/31
- Cherry 4/1
- Oak 4/2
So far, students have raised an impressive $44,938, but we still have ground to cover to reach our $85,000 goal.
Right now, only 36% of registered students have received a donation — can we get that to 50% by the end of the weekend?
Only 14 ALIHS students are currently registered. Remember, 50% of what ALIHS students raise goes back to their International Trip Account — and even if they are not planning to travel, your support still matters!
Weekend Challenges
- Cherry & Oak:
- The class with the most NEW donations this weekend will get to turn the Booster team into mummies!
- EVERY student that earns $60+ in NEW donations this weekend will earn a bonus prize on Monday!
- Armour
- Register, share, or get a donation = entry into a Tornado Simulation Mug raffle (3 winners)!
- Any donation throughout the program = extra spin on the prize wheel (today or Monday)!
There is still time to register at mybooster.com and help us close the gap. Be sure to watch your email for important event day details and logistics!

| | Heartfelt Thank You and H-1B Visa Updates | |
AL families have truly shown up for our teachers and our community this week, and we are so grateful. Thank you for your outreach to elected officials, your quick coordination with one another, and your partnership with the school to ensure our teachers feel supported. We mean it when we say this is an exceptionally special community.
Because of your advocacy in the past 24 hours, the school has been in direct contact with the offices of Senators Schmitt and Hawley, as well as Congressman Cleaver. Each office has responded promptly, offering support and guidance on next steps. We will continue to keep you informed as progress unfolds.
| Coffee & Connection for 8th Grade & ALIHS parents! | | |
You are invited to a special Coffee & Connection gathering—a relaxed and welcoming space to meet other parents, build relationships, and kick off your morning with a warm cup of coffee. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our high school community. Whether your family is just joining ALIHS, or you’ve been part of the school for years, we’d love to see you there.
When: Saturday, March 28
Time: 9:00–10:30 am
Where: Midtown KC Now (3931 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64111)
Parking is available behind the building (validation available) or take the street car and enter through the front door on Main Street.
We hope you can join us!
| | New: Cherry Musketeer Market Snack Cart | | With your contributions, Cherry kiddos will get tasty, cool snacks as a reward for top Class Dojo point earners beginning April 6th. Here is a list of snacks that are needed. Fresh fruit is also welcome. Donations can be delivered to Michael at the front desk. Merci! | | |
Are you ready for another Evening in Paris auction teaser?! The Cherry and Oak Student vs. Staff Soccer Games were a huge hit last year, so we are bringing them back for round two! Thanks to the 2025 Fund-a-Need donations, students will play on our brand-new soccer fields this year. Raffle tickets go on sale Thursday, April 30!
There are still plenty of Evening in Paris tickets available! Whether you are grabbing an Individual Ticket or a Teacher Appreciation Ticket, we have got a spot waiting for you — reserve yours today.
This year’s EIP is in a new space, which means set-up and tear-down all happen on the same day. If you are able to lend a hand, please reach out to Hollie Vogel at hvogel@academielafayette.org. Every bit of help makes a difference!

Building Next Year’s PTO Dream Team!
Did you know research shows that when families are engaged in school, students achieve more, attend more consistently, and feel more connected? Your involvement truly makes a difference.
We have several open PTO roles for next year from President and Secretary to Campus VPs and VIP Dance Coordinators. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for you! Want to learn more? Reach out to PTO President Jeremy Foster at jfoster4219@outlook.com and let’s find the right fit for you. Together, we make our school stronger!
| | Wanted: ALIHS Professional Opportunities | | |
As summer approaches, our ALIHS students are eager to broaden their horizons and gain meaningful, real-world experience. We would love to partner with you! Our students bring skills and interests across a wide range of fields, including health care, coding, graphic design, engineering, journalism, education, and technical careers.
If you have an internship opportunity for high school students at your workplace, please reach out to Liz Seely at lseely@academielafayette.org. Even if your organization does not currently have a formal internship program, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you to create a job shadow, project-based experience, or other meaningful way for a student to contribute.
