Dear AL Families,
At the request of the Board of Directors, the Conseil d'Ecole will start the selection process of the candidates for the parent-elect board members. The online election is scheduled to take place from Friday May 7 to Wed May 12. Below is the calendar for the remaining events.
Conseil d'Ecole will call for candidates. Watch the newsletter! (The Conseil d'Ecole is an advisory body for the Head of School. It consists of parents, teachers and administrators).
Submission of candidatures: March 15 to April 2.
Candidates will be interviewed by the Conseil d'Ecole members (April 14).
Conseil d'Ecole will decide on 2 candidates; candidate letters will be sent to parents
Parents vote in school-wide election (tentative dates May 7-12)
New parent-elect board member will attend the June 14 board meeting to be introduced to the board and officially join as a voting member at the July 12 board meeting.
Please remember, all board members serve on behalf of the school. Parent-elected board members do not represent the parents or any other constituency. They have the full privilege and responsibility of governing our school.
The Board of Directors values having diverse perspectives among board members, so hopes to have parents representative of the diverse student body.
