Wanted: Instruments & Music Gear

Calling all failed musicians! All have-beens and never wases! Have you given up on your dream of playing music? Is your guitar amp collecting dust? Your microphone laying lifeless? Your axe untouched?

The Middle School Band Club is seeking donations of instruments (guitars and basses), amplifiers, and other music gear to help support the success of the club. If you'd love to free up some space and support AL's best club, please send donations to the front office. Questions? Feel free to contact Mr. White, swhite@academielafayette.org.

AL in the Community

Did you know 7th Grade Social Studies teacher, Mr. White, is also a luthier? He's been building guitars for seven years now and was recently interviewed for Voyage KC. He calls his guitar company Blankc Guitars as an homage to his early days at AL when students used to call him "Monsieur Blanc".

You can check out the interview here and check out his guitars in real life at the KC Guitar show on October 11th and 12th at the Ward Parkway Center!

7th Grade France Trip Information

Since 1999, Académie Lafayette has proudly offered a two-week trip to France for our 7th grade students, a tradition that gives them the chance to experience the language and culture they have been studying for years. To help families prepare in advance, please note that the cost of the trip is approximately $5,095, based on this year’s and last year’s expenses. We look forward to continuing this meaningful opportunity that connects classroom learning to real-world experiences abroad.
