CMU Admissions News

For CMU President John Marshall, there’s a clear reason for the university’s success: that CMU is a Human Scale University. CMU is a place where everyone is working to make campus, “a model of the world we want to create.” This message is attracting one of the most higher-education-hesitant generations in history.

There are valuable opportunities awaiting them at CMU and CMU Tech.

After admission, the following next steps are now available:

1) CMU’s custom financial aid offer calculator to get a guaranteed early financial aid offer in days, not months.

2) The housing application launched on November 1. Priority room selection will begin in February based on housing application submission date. Your students can use our new residence life virtual tour to help pick their top living options.

3) Students can submit the CMU Foundation scholarship application in MAVzone with the ‘Scholarships’ app located on the applications page. The scholarship portal will automatically align your students with the scholarships for which they are eligible. The priority due date for this application is February 10, 2025.

Use the promo code NEWMAV if you are interested in applying to CMU: coloradomesa.edu/apply.

This promo code will waive the $40 application fee!

CMU Admissions is on the road this fall! Find your school's CMU admissions counselor to request a visit.

We are also excited to announce the launch of our new Virtual Tour and encourage you to check it out!

Setting Students Up For Success

At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, we stay on the leading edge of industry demand by preparing our students for careers in the fastest growing fields, like electrical engineering and software engineering.

Over the next decade, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics foresees faster-than-average growth of 9% for electrical engineering jobs and 17% growth for software developers, quality assurance analysts and testers. Additionally, workers in both areas earn median salaries surpassing $100,000 annually.

With the help of our expert faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, we've compiled two guides for your students who may be interested in either of these fields.
