On Behalf of the University Ombuds

The Ombuds Office is here to assist faculty, staff, and students with a University-related concern or conflict they may be experiencing as an informal resource. We are located in Edwards 211, but can speak or meet with visitors via phone, virtually, or another mutually agreed upon location.

On Behalf of the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs

Dr. Madeleine Khan is a grant writer/strategist on Contract with FGCU. Dr. Kahn will be visiting campus in late January/early February. In addition to leading grant-writing workshops for faculty and staff at the Lucas Center on Monday January 29 and Thursday February 1, 2024, Dr. Kahn will be available for 1:1 sessions for brainstorming and refining concepts for new initiatives. Individuals or collaborators can schedule time to talk through ideas with Dr. Kahn by contacting Julie Leyden at jleyden@fgcu.edu.

Once you have scheduled your consulting strategy session, please send a draft concept or brief description of your aspirations (a few sentences are fine) to Dr. Kahn mkahnphd@gmail.com and Julie Leyden at jleyden@fgcu.edu. In addition, it would be helpful to provide a recent curriculum vitae (CV) so that opportunities can be appropriately tailored depending on level and experience. There are a vast number of opportunities for early stage faculty, and the CV can help align suitable prospects for funding.

On Behalf of the University Library

We welcome classes for tours for the exhibition, They Were Children: Rescue as Resistance! Email libarchives@fgcu.edu or visit https://library.fgcu.edu/uasc/instruction to schedule a tour with the curators before the materials return to France on March 31, 2024.
