Know Your Audience! Understanding the First Year Student

Facilitated by: Eileen DeLuca, Ph.D., Ney Arias, Becky Jones

In this workshop, the presenters will share data on first-year students that demonstrate how this generation has experienced teaching and learning, and how University culture may vary from their high school experience. The presenters will lead a dialogue about scaffolding support for these students in our classes. Participants will leave the workshop with ideas they can implement immediately in their classes to support first-year student success.

This is a one session workshop facilitated on both Thursday, April 4th and Friday, April 5th from 1:00p-2:00p. Please register for whichever session best fits your schedule. Both sessions will be held in the Lucas Center (LIB-221).
