In consultation with our accrediting bodies, peer institutions and colleagues in health science academia, KCU has made the following decisions that will impact each student.
- Clinical rotations for third- and fourth-year COM students will be temporarily suspended, effective 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
- Practicums for PsyD students will also be temporarily suspended, effective 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 17.
- The University will continue to deliver curriculum to first- and second-year COM students and all COB students via web-based classrooms through April 26, 2020. Students should prepare for the possibility of returning to campus Monday, April 27, to resume normal classroom schedules.
We know each of you have unique circumstances in these uncertain times, and we commit to making a decision about any further extension for physical return on or before April 6, 2020.
During this period we will continue to monitor COVID-19 guidelines per the CDC and make any appropriate adjustments. We understand students will need to make travel plans to return to campus, and we will continue to update you on regular basis.
Please watch for a communication from your respective deans outlining steps for moving forward in order to maintain the continuum of your education throughout the remainder this academic year.
During this difficult time surrounding the spread of coronavirus, the health and safety of you, our students, is paramount in our decision-making processes. Please be mindful of your own well-being as well as those around you. Please continue to check the University's
COVID-19 web page
for updated information.
