Academic Search Partners with Millennium Leadership Initiative
On June 2, Vice President for Leadership Development and Senior Consultant Andrea Warren Hamos conducted a workshop for the 2020 and 2021 cohorts of the Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI). A program of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), MLI was originally conceived by AASCU’s African-American presidents to ensure that the next generation of leaders in higher education reflects the diversity of our nation. For more than 20 years, MLI has reinforced the vital role that diversity plays in the institutional mission, assisting participants to advance in their careers and helping institutions diversify their executive leaderships. The workshop focused on helping MLI Protégés to prepare effectively for executive search, including understanding the complementary roles of the CV and cover letter, selecting and managing references, and interviewing tips.
