An employee in this class is responsible for  performing professional work developing and conducting transportation & mobility planning studies to address transportation problems and projects, recommending policies and solutions, writing reports, presenting projects findings, assisting with grants, and conformity to design 
and performance standards. 

The employee also acts as a liaison with local and inter-governmental agencies such as the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), City of Hollywood, and Department of Environmental Protection.

FRA Awards Spotlight: Boynton Beach CRA


The Boynton Beach CRA won the 2018  Annual Reports Award and the Out of the Box Award!  
 
To increase public awareness about the CRA's ongoing revitalization efforts, the Boynton Beach CRA Annual Report was displayed throughout the community, distributed as an insert in the local newspapers, and made available for download from the CRA's website. The SMOP for Mom & Pops is an innovative social media outreach program that provides free marketing assistance to local businesses with training modules and more. 
 
Congratulations, Boynton Beach CRA and keep up the good work!

2019 Academy Course Schedule Announced!


The FRA Redevelopment Academy is a unique educational program  designed to promote knowledge and professionalism in the field of community redevelopment. The Academy consists of three core courses and four electives. Those who complete the Academy requirements can receive professional designation as a "Redevelopment Administrator" or "Redevelopment Professional." 

The courses are open to anyone interested in learning more about redevelopment practice in Florida and a graduation  ceremony is held each year during the FRA Annual Conference. 

We recently released the official dates for the 2019 Academy courses! The first three classes are listed below.  Please note, on-site registrations will not be accepted for any FRA Academy course.
  • February 22 - Operations/Capacity Building
  • March 15 - Budgeting, Funding & Reporting
  • April 5 - Capital Project Management
