HORIZON JOI:
Members are sill hard at work making plans & decorations for the upcoming Christmas party for foster children.

SCOTT JOI:
This is Scott's 4th year as a Junior Optimist Club. They have done the Week of Kindness every year for their school; they have collected new stuffed animals for the Childhood Cancer Center that treats children from all over southern Colorado; they have collected items for the Humane Society that were needed; and so much more!! We are so proud of these 4th and 5th graders who choose to step outside their own wants and needs and plan projects to help others! We can't wait to see what they choose to do this year (beside the Week of Kindness that they did in early October)! Parents now know that these are special kids and came to support them in their induction!!
SAND CREEK JOI CLUB
Craft Fair!

The club all pitched in and did a great job. All of the crafts were homemade - from candles to fudge, ornaments, calendars to decorations!! Altogether, they earned $300! The proceeds will be used to buy fleece the students will turn into blankets for the homeless! I can't be more proud of our great group of students this year!

OPTIMIST CREED
Promise Yourself:
• To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
• To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
• To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
• To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come
true.
• To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only
the best.
• To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about
your own.
• To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater
achievements of the future.
• To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living
creature you meet a smile.
• To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no
time to criticize others.
• To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and
too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
