(Albany) October 7, 2024 -- Dr. Martin Kilbridge, President of Academy of the Holy Names, announced today Devon Tomson has been appointed as AHN’s new Athletic Director. Tomson most recently served as Head Coach of Men's Soccer at Hudson Valley Community College.
“We are excited to welcome a seasoned coach and visionary to Holy Names. Devon joins Holy Names at a moment of tremendous growth and enthusiasm. This appointment will further propel our program and expand opportunities for our young women to reach their full potential,” Dr. Kilbridge said.
“It is an honor for me to not only join a school but lead a program with such a rich history of tradition and values. I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and community members as we build upon a culture of success by providing our athletes the tools they need to reach the next level of their development.” Tomson said.
Tomson, who also served as men’s soccer coach at Bard College, is the son of a longtime men’s soccer coach and Bard Athletic Director, so athletics is in his blood. Tomson earned his master's and bachelor's degrees in physical education and coaching from both Springfield College in Massachusetts and Canisius College.
