(Albany) Monday, September 30, 2024 -- Dr. Martin Kilbridge, President of Academy of the Holy Names, announced today the Board of Trustees has approved the 2030 Strategic Plan.
“Even as we experience tremendous growth and great vibrancy based on an exceptional educational legacy, we look to a future with confident optimism,” Dr. Kilbridge said. “Grounded in our core values and compelling mission, we aim to build upon our rich legacy. The Strategic Plan encapsulates our collective aspirations, uniting our school’s ethos, spirit, and vision.”
“This strategic plan will ensure that an all-girls education will continue to provide students with an invaluable opportunity at a crucial time in their development,” Lissa Smith McNaughton ’77 P’22, Co-Board Chair said. “The board is committed and through the initiatives set forth in this strategic plan we’ll advance our expertise in how girls learn, thrive, and succeed in school and in life.”
“At Holy Names, I learned that anything is possible. Through an intentionally empowering environment, our students know their options are never limited by their gender,” Maryann McCarthy ’88 P’19, Co-Board Chair said. “Our strategic plan builds on a legacy of excellence – AHN will be impactful for years to come. This strategic plan is our guide to take action – it honors our long history and strengthens the tradition of excellence that has been our legacy since 1884. These young women are going to change the world.”
Incorporating input from AHN stakeholders across the full spectrum of the Holy Names community, priorities emerged as pillars to center the school’s future-focused work.
These include:
- Sharing the AHN story with a broader audience.
- Ensuring long-term financial sustainability to support future generations of students.
- Expanding our academic programming and the student experience, and
- Building upon our mission and values by reinforcing our core tenets and finding new ways to express its commitments.
