Staging Success Story
" Another wonderful job by Donna Dazzo - we had an accepted offer in a week!"

After the real estate agent convinced the homeowners to remove their existing furniture, we were brought in to stage this $1.495M 3 bedroom/2 bath apartment at 140 West 71st Street on the Upper West Side.

The existing furniture was a mixture of styles whose quality wasn't targeting the buyer this apartment would attract. So we brought in furniture, decorative accessories and artwork to take the apartment up a notch or two. And it worked! Though it's not yet under contract, the sellers accepted an offer in just one week!

There are three bedrooms; two in the western wing of the apartment, and a standalone primary bedroom in the southern wing with en-suite bathroom. This home provides a very flexible layout; either three full bedrooms, or those now working from home who need two bedrooms and a separate home office with its own possible private entrance. The apartment has lots of natural light and closets, including a possible laundry room.
Market Overview
Manhattan
"A positive bookend to an unprecedented year, 2020 ended in much the same way that it began: with the Manhattan market exhibiting signs of stabilization and resilience. In Fourth Quarter 2020, closings grew versus the previous two quarters, signed contracts returned to pre-Covid levels, and supply growth slowed. Pent-up demand contributed to the rebound, but falling prices, low interest rates, more negotiability, a clearer political climate plus news of a vaccine were key contributors as well." - Pamela Liebman, President & CEO, The Corcoran Group

The following is a comparison of 2020 vs 2019:
The East End
“The final three months of 2020 closed out the year shattering several records. The last time our Hamptons markets experienced such activity was 2014... and 2007 before that. Most of this activity was due to what I refer to as the ‘Covid Kick-up’. The migration of urban dwellers to the country -- north, south, west, and of course, to us in the east.

Looking at All Hampton Markets Combined, the 4th Quarter 2020 totals are staggering. I have always said, I believe new high watermarks are being set every 7 years... which would result in 2021 as the next one!” - Judi Desiderio, CEO, Town and Country Real Estate
