Accepting Nominations for Public Official of the Year

Nomination Requirements

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 NLC&M Public Official of the Year Award. Nominations may be made by any League member or staff. To be considered for the award and individual must meet the following criteria:

Must be an elected official from a member municipality.

Must demonstrate extraordinary service to his/her community.

Extra points may be awarded for:

Involvement in the Nevada League of Cities and Municipalities

Service as a member of Board of Directors or Executive Committee.

Attendance at meetings and Annual Conference, involvement in support of the League’s legislative activities.

Involvement in the National League of Cities

Direct member city, service on steering or policy committees, attendance at NLC conferences.

The selection committee is made up of past recipients of the award that are still active in municipal service. The selection of the committee is final and will be kept confidential until award is announced at our annual conference in November 2020.

Please submit nominations to Jo Walker (jwalker@nvleague.org). Nominations must be received by October 23rd, 2020.
