Removing Barriers,

Creating Communities of Belonging.

“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” 1 Cor 12:27

April 2026

Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ’s Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.                (Collect for the Second Sunday of Easter)

On Easter Sunday, we pray by grace to live with Christ in the joy of his resurrection. During Easter week, we read accounts of Jesus appearing to others in his resurrected form. The second Sunday of Easter we are reminded of the new covenant of reconciliation and being reborn into the followship of Christ’s Body.

As Anglicans, we gather each week as the body of Christ for Word and Sacrament. We partake of the Eucharist. Paul’s letters to the Corinthians describes in some detail, what it means to function well as the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-27).

I invite you to join us virtually on Monday, April 20 as Lindsey Gibson guides us in considering this seemingly simple question. Lindsey is a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen, studying under Dr. Brian Brock. You can find more details about the virtual event below.

May you have a joyous Easter season!
