Becoming American Feb. 14
Becoming American - a film series about immigration held at the library in Shoreview - will be screening "The Golden Door," a Destination America series.

This program views the economic side of immigration and chronicles immigrant labor in the building of America.

Now Hiring Lifeguards
Be a hero. Be a lifeguard.
Shoreview Community Center is hiring lifeguards for seasonal and permanent positions. Free training and certification, flexible hours, great people and a fun environment. No experience required - lifeguards must be 15 or older.

City Council Actions
The Shoreview City Council took the following actions at their Feb. 4 meeting:

  • Recognized 20 winners of the Human Rights Commission's 26th annual 4th grade poster contest in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The posters are on display at the Community Center through February 28. 

  • Held a public hearing for the North Owasso Boulevard reconstruction project. The Council directed staff to move forward and prepare the plans and specifications, and ordered the improvements. More information will be sent to residents in the project area in the summer.

  • Appointed two new members to the Public Safety Committee through January 31, 2022.
