Meet Mesa McMurtrey
Mesa McMurtrey has joined the core CV SBDC staff as our newly minted Client Services Coordinator and Office Manager. She is Virginia born and bred and currently resides in Charlottesville. She comes to us from the IT Government contracting world and has experience in office and project management, human resources, purchasing, accounts payable, and event planning.

Mesa is currently pursuing a degree in Emergency and Disaster Management. In her spare time she loves to curl up with a good book and her dog and spend time in the mountains backpacking, camping and exploring nature. She is very excited to join the team.
What Are NFTs?
NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are unique, digital tokens that can’t be replaced. They’re issued on a blockchain, like Ethereum. These tokens can represent anything digital, such as art, animated stickers, music, videos, tweets, and more. For small businesses selling digital assets this could be a really important step to increase online sales.

Want to learn more about all things digital? CV SBDC and Virginia SBDC Chief Digital Advisor, Cameron Nelson, talks about NFTs and other digital resiliency topics in his online trainings.
Find Cameron's online workshops on the VASBDC online calendar.
PPP Forgiveness
Changes to PPP Forgiveness Procedures

On Friday, 1/28/2022, the SBA announced some changes to the PPP forgiveness process for borrowers that were denied either partial or full forgiveness.  Prior to the new guidelines, there were few options for borrowers to pursue redress if their lender determined that they could not receive full forgiveness for their PPP loan(s).

Contact us to meet with an SBDC advisor to answer any questions about your PPP forgiveness. [email protected] | 434-295-8198
