From President Frank H. Wu:

Effective 9 am Monday, June 27, only the Cleared4 system will be utilized for campus access. (If you have been using ProxyClick to access campus, please note it will no longer be used.)

This change will facilitate greater access to campus and ease the process for the user community by using one system only. This transition is both consistent with CUNY health and safety protocols, and it reflects our efforts to continue to adjust to health and safety circumstances.

QC faculty, staff, and students must continue to tap in with their QCard even if they have Cleared4. Your ID should be linked to Cleared4; if it is not, please be prepared to show your Cleared4 pass on your phone.

Note: Your QCard is only valid for campus access if you have a valid Cleared4 pass. All others need to show their Cleared4 access pass to enter campus. There is no way to enter campus without a Cleared4 pass. Proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test shown at one of the gates will not be accepted.

How to get a Cleared4 Pass:

  • QC students, faculty, and staff get a Cleared4 pass by uploading vaccine verification (students, click here; employees, click here) into CUNYfirst. If you have already done this, your campus access is valid and you do not need to do so again.
  • Members of the CUNY community get a Cleared4 pass by uploading vaccine verification (students, click here; employees, click here) into CUNYfirst. If you have already done this, your campus access is valid and you do not need to do so again.
  • If you are inviting someone to campus, these are the steps you must follow:

Step 1: Plan the visit. Note: Processing requires five business days, so early planning is necessary. The campus access team welcomes receiving requests, per published instructions, as early as possible prior to campus visitation. If your visitor has a valid Cleared4 pass from a previous visit or from another CUNY campus, the following steps are not required.

Step 2: Visitors self-register in the Cleared4 system in order to access the Queens College campus.

Step 3: Request visitor access by submitting a visitor request form online. This should be completed by the person inviting the guest to campus, not the guest. Visitors who are unvaccinated and are providing a negative PCR-test in order to gain access must have a new visitor request form submitted on their behalf every time they receive test results (Cleared4 access pass will expire after seven days from the date of collection).

After the visitor has uploaded vaccine verification, the submission will be reviewed (please allow five business days for processing). The visitor will receive an email from [email protected] to the address provided in Cleared4 (it must match the email submitted on the Visitor Request Form). This email is needed to claim the account and retrieve the pass. If the visitor does not see it, please advise them to search their junk and/or spam folders.

Questions about this process should be directed to [email protected]. If you've followed these steps but still have issues obtaining a Cleared4 access pass or QCard, visit the Public Safety Office at the Main Gate on Kissena Boulevard or email [email protected].

Please note, the CUNY random testing program is still in effect. If you are called to test and do not comply, campus access will be revoked and will only be reinstated once you comply with the testing program requirements (how to comply is answered in the Testing FAQs). You can find information about the CUNY random testing program and CUNY test sites at www.qc.cuny.edu/covid/testing-vaccinations/.

Thank you for your cooperation.
