Help MIT Students Develop Custom Assistive Technology for You! In MIT's class on Principles and Practices of Assistive Technology, clients with disabilities join teams of engineering students to create customized assistive technology solutions. They are looking for clients with specific project ideas for their class this upcoming fall, and are hoping to find twelve adventurous individuals who face daily life challenges related to their disability.  READ MORE

CCPD Q&A with Cambridge Police Commissioner Bard Cambridge Police Commissioner Branville Bard joined us at CCPD’s June Commission meeting, addressing questions and concerns of both Advisory Board members and members of the public. Topics discussed include the arrest of a Harvard student in which force was used; communicating with people with disabilities; and enforcement of no parking zones in bus stops and crosswalks. Cambridge Camp Teaching People with Disabilities to Ride Bicycles is Seeking Campers and Volunteers! Cambridge's third annual one-week iCan Bike Camp, helping people aged 8 and up with disabilities learn how to ride two-wheel bicycles, will take place from August 12-17, in the Cambridge War Memorial Gym.
