Help MIT Students Develop Custom Assistive Technology for You! In MIT's class on Principles and Practices of Assistive Technology, clients with disabilities join teams of engineering students to create customized assistive technology solutions. They are looking for clients with specific project ideas for their class this upcoming fall, and are hoping to find twelve adventurous individuals who face daily life challenges related to their disability.  READ MORE

Happy 40th Birthday to CCPD and Anniversary to the ADA! You may have heard that this month marks the 29 th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. But did you know that it’s also CCPD’s 40 th birthday? The Commission was established on July 1, 1979 and has been going strong ever since! Happy anniversary and happy ADA Day to everyone! Hurry to Get Your Participatory Budget Ideas in Before July 31! PB is a democratic initiative that gives Cambridge community members the power to decide how to spend $1,000,000 of the City’s FY21 Capital Budget. If you have an idea for a project to improve Cambridge, please share it!  Projects are eligible for funding if they meet the following criteria: Are capital projects Are one-time expenditures that cost $1,000,000 or less Benefit the public Are implemented by the City of Cambridge on City property LEARN MORE
