Participatory Budgeting is back, an Open Letter to the Community, and more!
Participatory Budgeting Season is Here!

From June 1 - July 31, the City of Cambridge will be collecting ideas from community members about how to spend $800,000 on capital projects to improve the city. Winning projects from past PB cycles include 100 new street trees, bike repair stations, a food rescue freezer van, solar panels for the Main Library roof, bilingual books for kids, and many other projects. Tell us how YOU would spend the money by submitting your ideas online!

An Open Letter from CCPD to the Cambridge
City Council and our Cambridge Neighbors
Dear Cambridge City Council and Neighbors,

Last November, we experienced an election that was unprecedented in our lifetime. In the weeks that followed, we have witnessed an increase in expressions of intolerance and hatred directed towards members of our nation based on our real or perceived disabilities, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and other aspects of our identities. This intolerance and hatred has been emboldened by some elected officials who ran on campaigns fueled by demeaning and derogatory comments, some of which have been directed towards persons with disabilities.
